We are looking to recruit a Used Car Business Manager to join our successful Lakeside dealership.

The role would be to lead a team of Sales Executives to deliver exceptional customer experience and to deliver maximised profitability. Managing a controlled sales process, you will serve and support Sales Executives to sell used vehicles and a range of add-on products, plus finance and asset protection products. You will energise and deliver sales campaigns and promotions that maximise sales penetration as well as generating a buzz and enthusiasm in the team.

Regular coaching, robust management and constant customer interaction with first and second facing activity is at the heart of this role.

We are looking for a driven, motivated and disciplined individual who is able to communicate well and create a rapport with our customers. Your passion, energy and commitment must be second to none and should be demonstrable at interview. You must also be able to demonstrate a superb track record within a sales role and with a settled career history in the motor industry. The successful candidate will have proven ability to deliver consistently against performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure sales department achieves pro_ t targets, maintain margins and control expenses as detailed in budgets and business plans
  • Maximise used car volume, profitability opportunity and actively set out to achieve and exceed dealership objectives
  • Oversee the sale of finance and insurance products, added value items, extras and accessories
  • Monitor the sales environment to ensure the highest standards of housekeeping and visual impact
  • Ensure overheads, costs and expenses are minimised by controlling and utilising resources effectively
  • Deputise for the Sales Manager as required, ensuring continuity of standards and maintaining high levels of operational performance
  • Comply with all current regulation and legislation, e.g. FCA compliance, data protection regulations etc
  • Ensure that all reporting and administrative functions, are carried out at the appropriate time and kept up to date
  • Ensure that sales staff follow the company policies, processes and procedures to drive departmental performance
  • Maximise every sales opportunity through the effective management and control of the lead management system
  • Encourage and ensure all staff deliver Complete Customer Satisfaction to deliver the maximum customer retention and optimise margin control

This role would suit a Senior Sales Executive seeking promotion.
