What is ULEZ?
ULEZ stands for Ultra Low Emission Zone. It’s designed to reduce the levels of harmful CO2 and NOx emissions produced by vehicles in London, thus making the city’s air more breathable. Those vehicles which drive in the capital and which fail to meet ULEZ emissions standards are liable for a £12.50 charge, which is a daily tariff.
Which Areas are Affected by ULEZ?
All parts of London situated within the North and South Circular roads are part of ULEZ. Please note: the zone is due to expand on 29th August 2023, which means that all London boroughs will be included.
Used Low-Emission Vehicles
A used hybrid or electric commercial vehicle purchased from amg select not only represents great value for money, it’ll ensure that you're exempt from ULEZ charges. It’ll be free from Clean Air Zone charges which are applied in other major British cities too. As well as being kinder to the environment, hybrid and electric commercial vehicles are more affordable to run than their purely combustion-engined counterparts.
If our ULEZ-related frequently asked questions don’t cover your particular query, please contact our amg select Sittingbourne, Solihull or Warwick team. We’re always happy to help!

Charging Your ULEZ-Friendly Plug-In Hybrid or Electric Vehicle
All mild-hybrid and full-hybrid vehicles feature a self-charging battery, which means drivers don’t need to concern themselves with manual charging. That said, petrol-electric plug-in hybrids (which do require manual charging) offer an all-electric range, which is very useful in urban environments and delivers considerable fuel savings. Plug-in hybrids and fully electric vehicles can be charged at home, at work, and at one of more than 25,400 public charging locations.
At amg select Sittingbourne, Solihull and Warwick, we feature a wide selection of ULEZ-friendly commercial vehicles, from the compact Renault Kangoo E-Tech to the full-size Ford E-Transit panel van.
