The Transit Connect is ideal for small-to-medium-size businesses, especially those that operate in and around towns and cities. Available with a short or long wheelbase, and in Single or Double Cab iterations, the Transit Connect also comes in five trim levels, each providing a level of style, comfort and tech to suit your business needs. The van offers between 1,200 litres and 3,600 litres’ worth of cargo volume, depending on which configuration you choose. Meanwhile, payload capacity ranges from 775 kg to 982 kg.
Entry-level Leader trims offer the convenience of a rake-and-reach-adjustable steering wheel, power-operated windows and a four-speaker sound system. The latter includes DAB radio, AUX and USB ports – and Bluetooth connectivity, enabling audio streaming and hands-free telephony. Furthermore, the vehicle is fitted with several standard-issue safety features, including Emergency Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Control and Side Wind Stabilisation.
Beneath the bonnet of every Transit Connect lies an efficient Ford EcoBoost petrol or EcoBlue diesel engine. A 1.5-litre 74bhp diesel unit, for example, returns up to 58.1mpg (combined figure) while producing CO2 emissions from 134g/km.
