What is Motability?

The Motability Scheme provides an affordable, worry-free way for people with disabilities to lease a car in exchange for their mobility allowance.

It provides affordable, convenient, worry-free motoring to over 630,000 disabled customers, their families and carers. Hyundai has provided thousands of vehicles to Motability customers over the years.

Am I Eligible? To be eligible to join the Motability Scheme, you need to receive one of the mobility allowances listed below and have at least 12 months’ award length remaining. The Attendance Allowance cannot be used to lease a car through the Motability Scheme. With Motability contract hire you do not necessarily need to drive yourself. You can nominate up to two drivers who may be friends or relatives, plus parents or carers can apply on behalf of a child aged three years and upwards.
