Our internal group maintenance team are looking for a maintenance person. They will be required to work closely with the existing maintenance department. Predominantly covering West Midlands, Warwick and Northampton locations, you will report to the Group Facilities & Maintenance Manager.

The job role is to undertake general maintenance, repairs, installation and upgrading work on a planned and reactive basis to ensure that the Group’s properties can be operated safely and in compliance with manufacturer standards and good practice.

Responsibilities include:
• As a primary role, maintenance workers manage the daily operations and functioning of the Buildings.
• To carry out maintenance work of all types to keep buildings and work areas in good working order.
• To ensure the future operations of the sites, maintenance workers must take the necessary steps to prevent potential issues.
• Must effectively communicate with all Staff
• Many tasks require more than one maintenance worker, meaning that those in the maintenance industry must work effectively and efficiently with others.
• To complete daily assignments, maintenance workers must manage their time.
• When there is some technical issue, maintenance workers must be able to use problem-solving to identify the issue.
• To carry out, as and when required, any additional tasks and responsibilities as are reasonably compatible with this job description and its objectives.

As a maintenance person your skills and experience will include:
• With expectations that maintenance workers can address a multiplicity of problems, workers should demonstrate they can promptly solve problems, analyse repairs requests and troubleshoot them.
• A good knowledge in carpentry and some basic skills with plumbing.
• Physically capable of moving equipment
• Experience using hand and electrical tools.
• The unpredictability of job sites demands that maintenance workers can adapt to changes in working environments.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings.
• Perform installations, assembling, fittings, repairs, and replacements as needed.
• Maintenance workers perfect their trade through experience, meaning that experience is an invaluable component of marketing yourself in the field.
• Provide assistance to co-workers when needed.
• Attend job training and safety programs organized by maintenance department.
