Who can join the Motability scheme?

Anyone who receives a qualifying disability allowance (see Am I Eligible? above).

What’s Covered as Part of the Motability Scheme?

You benefit from Direct Line Motability insurance which allows you to add up to three named drivers, who can be changed at any time. Your insurance also covers:

  • Vehicle adaptations agreed at the start of your lease agreement
  • Loss of – or damage to – your vehicle (including standard-issue equipment)
  • Replacement locks if your car keys are stolen
  • Use of a replacement vehicle if your Motability Scheme car is stolen or damaged
  • Personal accident cover (up to £5,000)
  • Legal liabilities and ‘loss of use’ benefit

Can I Buy the Vehicle at the End of My Lease?

No, but you can begin a new lease and choose a brand-new vehicle.

Are Electric Vehicles Available on the Motability Scheme?

Yes. We have a wide range of electrified Ford, Kia, Hyundai, and Suzuki vehicles from which to choose.

How Often Should My Motability Scheme Vehicle Be Serviced?

Please follow your vehicle manufacturer’s recommended service intervals, details of which are included with the car’s manual and service book. If you can’t find the information you require, don’t hesitate to contact the Service department of your local, convenient Allen Motor Group dealership.
