Allen Motor Group’s Essex dealerships unite with local Lions community service clubs, Billericay Lions, Brentwood Lions and Romford Lions, to help spread some festive cheer this season.
The Lions are a global network of volunteers who kindly donate their time and work together to make a difference within their local community. Each year club volunteers organise key community events in their borough, as well as raising thousands of pounds for local charities, one main event being the annual Christmas street collection with Santa and his sleigh.
For many years Essex Ford have supported Billericay Lions Christmas street collections, providing the club with a festive wrapped vehicle to tow Santa’s sleigh around the local neighbourhood, much to the delight of families with young children, to raise money for charitable causes. Sadly due to COVID restrictions in 2020, the event was cancelled, so the club volunteers and Allen Motor Group were determined to make Christmas 2021 extra special!
This year, Allen Motor Group handed over not one but three festive wrapped vehicles to Essex Lions clubs. Billericay Lions received a Ford Kuga from Essex Ford, Brentwood Lions received a Ford Transit Custom from Allen Ford Brentwood, and Romford Lions received a Ford EcoSport from Allen Ford Romford. These vehicles will be towing Santa’s sleigh safely around Essex throughout December. We look forward to sharing with you the total funds raised for this event.
