Smooth city streets, or off-road terrain: wherever you’re driving, you can fine tune your Ranger PHEV settings to suit the conditions. A rotary dial lets you shift between NORMAL, ECO or SPORT for ordinary roads; TOW HAUL when towing; SLIPPERY for loose surfaces; and MUD/RUTS or SAND for more rugged off-roading†††.
The heart of the Ford Ranger's connective experience is the large 10.1-inch or 12-inch touchscreen. It complements the fully digital instrument panel and loaded with Ford's latest SYNC™ 4 system, which comes customer-ready with its voice-activated communications, entertainment and information systems.
There's also an embedded factory-fitted FordPass Connect modem, allowing connectivity on the go when linked with the FordPass™ app, so customers can stay connected to their world. FordPass enhances the ownership experience with features like Remote Start, Vehicle Status, and remote lock and unlock functions via a mobile device.
The screen also is linked to a 360-degree camera to make parking a breeze in tight urban spaces or to assist when negotiating particularly tricky terrain while out exploring.
In addition, owners can control Ranger's new exterior zone lighting system via the touchscreen or the FordPass app, which means you don't have to work, camp or do anything in the dark.
Ranger technology will also be future-proofed to accept Ford Power-Up wireless software updates thanks to the embedded FordPass Connect modem.
A mobile power source, available in two options, means you can leave the generator behind and free up some load space. The standard 2.3 kW (10 amp) system lets you recharge batteries and power most electric hand tools. While the 6.9 kW (16 amp) option gives a little more kick – capable of powering a host of heavier gear, from grinding tools and air-conditioning units, to camping stoves and EV dirt bikes
