 Do you have specially trained members of staff to help Motability customers?

There are friendly, fully trained Motability Specialists at each of our dealerships who will give you the best information to help you pick a car that suits your requirements, and then look after you for the 3 years of your Motability agreement.

 

How can I test drive a car that I like?

Our trained Motability Specialists can arrange everything you need for a test drive. Just call us or tap the "Make An Enquiry" button on this page to contact us and we’ll listen to or read your requirements before setting up whatever you need.

 

How can I use the Motability Scheme to get a car?

In the Motability Scheme you simply exchange your mobility allowance for a car that suits your requirements. Your allowance will go directly to Motability, in exchange for a car. With Motability you don't necessarily need to drive yourself – you can nominate up to two drivers who may be friends or relatives, and parents or carers can apply on behalf of a child aged three years and upwards. What if I want a car with adaptations?

Leasing a Mobility Scheme car gives you the freedom to make adaptations that improve your motoring experience, whether it’s through driving, storage and stowage in the vehicle or its accessibility. Many tens of thousands of Motability customers have adaptations fitted to their cars to help make travelling easier or more comfortable. If you want adaptations for your Motability car, you can select the adaptations you require and order them at the same time you order your new car. Many of the adaptations are available at no extra cost.

 

What is it like to have an appointment with your Motability Specialists?

Our friendly and helpful Motability Specialists have been trained not just in the Motability Scheme itself but also with disability awareness, so that they can provide flexible, affordable and worry-free access to a brand-new, reliable vehicle of your choice. They’ll listen to what you want and guide you through the Scheme, without pressuring you. Even spending time in our dealerships is enjoyable as you can look at potential cars, get a free drink and use our complimentary Wi-Fi.

 

What if I don't know much about motoring, adaptations or finance?

Our Motability Specialists are fully trained about using finance through the Motability Scheme and know our vehicles inside and out. They will answer questions you may have about vehicles and Motability (even if it means finding out from someone else sometimes!) and give you the information you need to help you make decisions about different models, adaptations and finance to make it as easy as possible.

 

How accessible are your dealerships?

Each of our dealerships has dedicated disabled parking bays and is wheelchair accessible, so that coming to see us is easy and comfortable.

 

What if I cannot visit your dealership?

This is not a problem. We can arrange for one of our Motability Specialists to visit your home. Just contact our most convenient dealership for you to discuss your needs with a Motability Specialist.

 

How does the Motability Scheme work?

In the Motability Scheme you simply exchange your higher rate mobility allowance (such as the Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment or the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance) for a car that suits your requirements. Dependent on the model of vehicle you choose, some vehicles attract a small advance payment. However, we offer some models with no advance payment at all!

Once Motability accepts your application, the advance payment and weekly rental are price protected. This lasts for three months from the date your agreement is printed – provided that the car description on the agreement is not altered later.

Most drivers choose contract hire as they find it’s the best option to obtain and pay for a brand-new car. They like the convenience of a single, regular payment that includes comprehensive insurance, maintenance and breakdown cover. They also get to choose a brand-new car every three years, once their contract hire lease agreement ends.
