Allen Ford’s Automotive Roadshow Visits Northampton Academy

We recently visited Northampton Academy to meet with Year 10 and 11 students who are currently exploring their career options.

The students were excited to see that we had brought with us a range of high-performance vehicles, the iconic Ford Mustang Mach 1, the Ford Ranger Raptor, and Ford’s first fully electric vehicle – the Mustang Mach-E.

During our visit, students were given the opportunity to see each model up close and try out their advanced technologies, such as the Ford SYNC 4 cloud-connected infotainment system which brings new levels of connectivity, voice recognition, and navigation features (available as standard in the Mustang Mach-E).

The students were also very interested to hear about the revolutionary changes within the motor industry as we transition to hybrid and battery electric vehicles. We were just as keen to answer their questions, explaining the different types of powertrains and charging options available.

Our team also discussed different career paths and the apprenticeship opportunities at Allen Ford.

We had a fantastic time at Northampton Academy and hope that our visit inspires young people to kick-start careers within the motor industry.
